Cuttable's A$20M Round and the Closed Ad Loop for D2C Brands

We spend a lot of time watching how other teams wire ad creative to performance data, so Cuttable's A$20M Series A this week was worth a close read. The Australian platform turns product photos into Meta and TikTok ads, and the relaunch goes further: it reads results from live campaigns and decides which ad to build next, pulling signals from Shopify, Klaviyo and the ad accounts themselves. Airtree led the round. The pitch, in the founder's words, is ads that learn from each other instead of starting from scratch.

That premise matches what we see every day building IgniteAI. The auction keeps repricing, and the D2C brands winning Q4 are the ones refreshing variants fastest. Creative used to be signed off once a quarter and left to run. Now it goes stale in weeks, so the work never really finishes.

Where we land differently is on who sits inside the loop. Platforms are already shipping default AI edits to uploaded ads, and the lesson of the past month is how little review survives once generation runs unattended. So in the loop we are building, performance data shapes the next batch of UGC-style video ads, and a person at the brand approves what ships.

D2C founders: if software could draft your next ad from last week's results, would you let it publish without you seeing it first?
